The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Princiotta lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Princiotta is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Princiotta showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from VanVactor.

VanVactor drives through with a takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Princiotta is trying to hold VanVactor in close to prevent damage but VanVactor has managed to pass into half guard.

VanVactor is working for a kimura but Princiotta is defending it quite comfortably.
Princiotta avoiding damage under a succession of punches from VanVactor.
VanVactor trying to control the action but Princiotta is working from the bottom.

VanVactor is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
VanVactor works his way into full mount!

VanVactor jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Princiotta manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Princiotta manages to get back to half guard.
Princiotta is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
VanVactor seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Princiotta is looking to stand up but VanVactor won't let him.

VanVactor goes for a takedown in the clinch but Princiotta prevents it.
VanVactor wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

VanVactor thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

VanVactor is pushing down on Princiotta's leg trying to pass to half guard. Princiotta is fighting to maintain full guard but VanVactor has managed to sneak the leg through.

VanVactor is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Princiotta has managed to free his arm - good work.
VanVactor throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
