And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jon Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Felipe Paraventi and Matheus Silva.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ellis takes the fight into the clinch.

Johnson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Johnson clinches up against the cage.
Johnson lands a left hand that snaps the head of Ellis backwards.
Ellis throws a head punch that misses.
Johnson lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Johnson lands a hook that snaps the head of Ellis backwards.
Ellis misses with a punch on the inside.
Ellis tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Johnson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Johnson clinches up with Ellis and pushes him back against the cage.
Johnson's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Johnson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Ellis closes the distance and pushes Johnson back into the cage.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Johnson working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Johnson lands with a short shot to the head.
Ellis swings wildly with an uppercut but Johnson uses good head movement to avoid it.
Johnson lands with a light punch inside.
Johnson lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.


Ellis is rocked!
Johnson blocks an uppercut.
Oh Ellis is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Ellis takes a shot to the head.
Ellis misses with some punches.
A nice right hand lands inside from Johnson.
Johnson throws a big uppercut that drops Ellis! More strikes from Johnson and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Ellis lies dazed against the cage as Johnson celebrates with his cornermen!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jon Johnson!
