Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Charlie Hill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Simon Phoenix (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Phoenix has chosen The Good, Bad and the Ugly as his entrance music. Simon Phoenix has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hill gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Hill not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Hill looking for a guillotine here but Phoenix defends easily.
Phoenix must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Hill wants to sweep here but Phoenix controlling him for the moment.
Phoenix is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Phoenix trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Phoenix content to stall in guard here.
Phoenix stopping the sweep attempt from Hill.
Phoenix passes Hill's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Phoenix prevents Hill from improving his position.
Phoenix trying to control the action but Hill is working from the bottom.
Hill is looking to control Phoenix's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Hill avoid being mounted?

Phoenix is keen to just control but Hill is a slippery customer.
Hill is pressing down on Phoenix's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
A slow jab from Hill misses its intended target.
Phoenix shoots in looking for a takedown. Hill tries to sprawl out of it but Phoenix keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hill manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Phoenix looks gassed!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Hill throws a jab when Phoenix was well out of range.

Hill gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Phoenix won't allow Hill to sweep him here.
Hill avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Phoenix trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Hill manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Phoenix manages to get himself to full guard.
Hill is pushing down on Phoenix's leg trying to pass to half guard. Phoenix is fighting to maintain full guard but Hill has managed to sneak the leg through.
Phoenix really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hill. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Phoenix wants to get back to his feet.

Hill is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Phoenix is just riding it out for now. Hill eventually gives up the hold.
Hill seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Phoenix does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Hill in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Phoenix tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Hill!
