Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Nelson Hahn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eldrick Blane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Eldrick Blane has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Nelson Hahn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Eldrick Blane!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Anni Minnemäki and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Blane clinches with his opponent.
Hahn prevents the takedown attempt.
Hahn drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Blane gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Blane changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Hahn fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Blane shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Hahn appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Nelson Hahn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Eldrick Blane.
Blane scores with a hook to the body. Hahn takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Hahn tries to close the distance and clinch up but Blane swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Blane is trying hard to land a takedown here. Hahn sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hahn is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Blane is keeping busy.

Blane's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Blane jumps guard and drags Hahn to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Hahn has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Blane is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

and Hahn counters by moving into the clinch.
Hahn changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Blane fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Blane clinches up with Hahn and pushes him back against the cage.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Blane is trying to pull guard but Hahn turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Hahn is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Blane is defending well.
Hahn tries for a takedown. No joy.

Blane breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Blane misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Some bone on bone action there as Hahn checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Blane drives through and clinches with Hahn against the cage.
Come on Hahn - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Eldrick Blane dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Blane tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Hahn defends well and Blane ends up having to push Hahn into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Blane clinches up with Hahn and pushes him back against the cage.
Hahn has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Blane is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Hahn will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Blane up against the cage.
Hahn is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
A right hook to the body lands for Blane.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Blane is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Hahn can't fight it off and eventually Blane manages to take the fight to the floor. Hahn looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Hahn wants to get back to his feet but Blane is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Blane is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hahn not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Blane trying to control but Hahn is working from the bottom.
Hahn is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Blane postures up.
Blane pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Hahn is keeping the position for now.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Blane seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Hahn slaps away a takedown attempt from Blane, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Hahn wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Nelson Hahn is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Blane closes the distance and clinches up with Hahn, looking for a takedown. Blane pushes Hahn against the cage but Hahn circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Hahn escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Blane closes this distance looking for a takedown but Hahn circles away.
Blane is breathing heavily.

Blane closes the distance and pushes Hahn back into the cage.

Hahn stuffs the takedown.
Blane misses with a kick to the body
and Hahn counters with an inside leg kick.
Hahn is trying hard to land a takedown here. Blane sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Hahn throws a low kick but Blane moves out of range easily.

Blane moves into the clinch.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Hahn is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Blane gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Hahn tries to score a body lock takedown but Blane shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Blane is trying to pull guard but Hahn has him pressed against the cage.
Hahn is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Blane is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Hahn pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Hahn is pushing Blane up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Hahn drops down looking for an ankle pick but Blane pulls his leg out and moves away.

Blane darts in and clinches Hahn up against the cage.
Blane blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Blane drags the fight down to the ground.
Hahn won't allow Blane to get back to his feet.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Blane is trying to control the position but Hahn postures up.
Hahn preventing the sweep.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Eldrick Blane showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Hahn's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Blane wants to counter the offense by Hahn and move into the clinch position.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Blane is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Hahn can't get the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nelson Hahn. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Blane takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Blane jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Hahn walks away with a smile on his face. Blane gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Blane swats away the attempt to clinch by Hahn.

Blane doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Hahn holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Blane manages to break the clinch.
Blane shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hahn but Hahn pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Hahn is looking to counter the offense by Blane and move into the clinch.
Blane takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Blane moves into the clinch successfully.
Blane tries for a takedown but Hahn manages to get underhooks.

Blane manages to break the clinch.
The fight stays on the outside here - Hahn looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Blane shoots in looking for a takedown but Hahn manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Blane's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

and Hahn counters with a nice body kick.

Blane wants to get back to his feet but Hahn passes into half guard.

Blane changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

Hahn goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Hahn misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Hahn tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Blane has managed to clinch.
Eldrick Blane seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.
Blane is pressed up against the cage. Hahn has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Blane down to the mat. Blane avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Blane shoots in and drives through. Hahn sprawls well.

Hahn tries for a takedown. No joy.

Hahn is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

Blane can't get the takedown.
Blane has Hahn pressed against the cage.

Nelson Hahn has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Eldrick Blane is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Nelson Hahn.
I think Blane has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
