Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Lyle Morgan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and The Boss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Lyle Morgan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, The Boss!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Roosa Järviläinen and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boss swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Boss doesn't manage to clinch there - Morgan circles away.

Boss drives through and clinches with Morgan against the cage.

Boss breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Boss gets a takedown into half guard.
Morgan is looking for a sweep. Boss is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Boss trying to control the pace.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Boss trying to control from half guard but Morgan is working away.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Boss performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Boss prevents Morgan from improving his position.

Boss is working for a kimura but Morgan is defending it quite comfortably.
Morgan is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Morgan trying to get back to full guard but Boss takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!
Boss wants to control the pace but Morgan is squirming around nicely.

Morgan keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Boss jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Morgan manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Boss throwing shots but missing, from side control.

Boss has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Morgan takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Morgan shoots in for a double leg but Boss sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Boss gets a double leg takedown into Morgan's guard.
Boss is standing up over Morgan. Morgan looks to escape but Boss dives into side control.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Morgan can't do much from the bottom here.
You can see the frustration on Morgan's face as Boss controls the position.
Morgan is trying to get back to half guard.

Boss decides to stand back up.

Morgan gets tackled into the cage by Boss. Boss maintains the clinch.
Boss has Morgan pressed against the cage.

Morgan's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Boss drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Morgan bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!

Morgan tries to close the distance and clinch up but Boss swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Boss tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Boss throws a right and a left that both miss.
Boss looks winded!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Morgan drops his hands momentarily and Boss takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Boss fails with an attempt to clinch.
Morgan appears to be looking for a counter takedown.

Boss shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Boss was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Morgan is looking to reverse the position.
Morgan tries to control but Boss manages to take his back.
Morgan is in bad spot here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The Boss dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Boss gets a double leg takedown into Morgan's guard.

Morgan has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Boss has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Morgan has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Boss is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Morgan jumps guard but Boss stands there with Morgan around his waist. Morgan gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Boss is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Morgan drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Boss gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Morgan misses with a punch to the body.
Morgan has Boss pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Boss manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Boss ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Boss no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Boss is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Morgan is looking to control Boss's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Morgan avoid being mounted?

Morgan is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Morgan won't allow Boss to pass to mount.
Boss with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Boss moves nicely into side control.
Morgan is trying to get back to half guard.
Morgan can't do much from the bottom here.
Boss has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Boss stands up and beckons Morgan to his feet.

Boss drives through with a takedown into Morgan's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Boss gets to his feet - Morgan follows without any prompting.
Boss lands with a cross.
The fight stays on the outside here - Morgan looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Boss moves into the clinch successfully.

Boss pulls guard effortlessly.
Boss is looking to sweep but instead, Morgan has passed into half guard.
Boss is trying to get back to full guard.
Boss is trying to maintain the position but Morgan is very close to passing his half guard.
Morgan takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Boss controlling the leg, holding on to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The Boss showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Boss looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Morgan is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Boss is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Boss has escaped and now he's on top!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Morgan isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Boss stacks Morgan on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Boss!

Morgan parries the strikes from Boss easily there. Boss is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Morgan to escape.
Boss content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

Boss gets to mount! Morgan was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Morgan is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Morgan tries to hold on but Boss pushes him away.
Morgan is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

Boss throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Boss throws some wild stikes that Morgan manages to avoid easily.
Morgan looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!
Boss is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.
Boss tries to keep control of the position but Morgan is staying busy.
Morgan wants to control his opponent's hands but Boss gets his hands free.
Morgan wants to escape the position.

Boss working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.
Boss just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

The Boss has got the better of the ground game so far.

Boss seems keen to control Morgan's posture.
Boss wants to get back to his feet but Morgan is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Lyle Morgan has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
The Boss is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Morgan postures up.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The Boss comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Boss has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
