Montgomery can't keep his opponent in guard - LaRoche advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
LaRoche stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Montgomery to get to his feet.

Montgomery content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because LaRoche has locked up a guillotine! LaRoche's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Montgomery is holding on here and LaRoche must be using up a lot of energy. Montgomery has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! LaRoche gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
