PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Komkrit Sittika (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hanz Stinger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hanz Stinger told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are James Glass, Colin Fotheringham and Richard Clark.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sittika clinches up with Stinger and pushes him back against the cage.
Sittika keeps control of Stinger as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Sittika tries to pull guard but Stinger won't allow it.
Sittika is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Sittika wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Sittika has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Stinger avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Sittika jumps guard but Stinger stands there with Sittika around his waist. Sittika gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Stinger drops back looking for a leg! Sittika is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Sittika manages to kick Stinger off! Stinger jumps back into Sittika's guard.

Stinger stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sittika swivels though and keeps the full guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Stinger throws a leg kick but Sittika sees it coming and moves out of range.
Sittika changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Stinger tries to avoid it but Sittika manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Stinger to the ground. Stinger escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Stinger decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

and Sittika counters with a nice double leg into side control. Stinger won't be happy with that.

I wouldn't like to be where Stinger is right now.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Stinger won't allow Sittika to sweep him here.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Sittika is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Stinger has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Stinger!

I would just about give that final round to Hanz Stinger.
