Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Borys Mankowski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joao Ricardo Bordignon Miyao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mankowski comes into the arena with Kękę -Wyjebane blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Borys Mankowski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Joao Ricardo Bordignon Miyao!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Paul Tew and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mankowski closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Mankowski takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Mankowski thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Bordignon Miyao's head.
Mankowski is controlling the pace.
Bordignon Miyao is positioning himself well to prevent Mankowski advancing to mount.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mankowski is trying to control the action in half guard but Bordignon Miyao is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Bordignon Miyao tries to kick Mankowski off but Mankowski keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Mankowski shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Mankowski was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Mankowski's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Mankowski is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Bordignon Miyao can do to turn this around?

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Bordignon Miyao bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Mankowski's guard.

Mankowski looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Mankowski escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bordignon Miyao gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Joao Ricardo Bordignon Miyao showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Mankowski connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Bordignon Miyao to escape the position.

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Mankowski has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
