The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Auscop fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Rasitic manages to avoid it.
Auscop throws a lazy right hand but Rasitic sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Rasitic half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.

Rasitic is looking to work some ground and pound but Auscop has wrist control.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Rasitic accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Rasitic decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Rasitic connects with a nice short shot to Auscop's temple.

Rasitic is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rasitic looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Auscop with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Barry Auscop's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Barry Auscop's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
