PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tom Brady (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pascual Perez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Perez is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Another One Bites The Dust. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perez wants to clinch but Brady slips to the side
and Brady counters with a nice uppercut.
Brady bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Perez's head backwards.
Perez keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Brady works the jab nicely.
Brady dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Brady clobbers Perez with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Brady's jab looks to have found its range, popping Perez under the eye.
Brady is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Brady takes a swing at Perez's ribcage but misses.
Perez dives in for a single leg takedown but Brady sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Nice cross by Brady.
Brady scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Brady changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Perez tries to avoid it but Brady manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Perez to the ground. Perez escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Perez has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Brady tries to sprawl but Perez drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Brady has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Perez is trying for a kimura here. Brady looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Perez wins by kimura!
