Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Bartek Pietrzak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yuya Shimizu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shimizu is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Alright, let's do this.. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Shimizu is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Pietrzak had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Shimizu loads up on a big right hand but Pietrzak slips the punch.
Shimizu lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Shimizu stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Shimizu wants it to stay on the feet.

Shimizu feints and then cracks Pietrzak's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Pietrzak down.

The fighters circling - Pietrzak throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Shimizu has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Shimizu crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Pietrzak - the referee stops the clock and Shimizu gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Pietrzak. Shimizu manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Pietrzak accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Pietrzak feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
