Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Kean Martin!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Daniel Bishop and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martin scores with a one two! daglish had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
daglish wants to clinch up but Martin keeps it at a distance.
colin daglish seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
daglish misses with a combination

and Martin counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
daglish wants to get back to his feet.
daglish might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Martin slows the pace down in half guard.
daglish is trying to stand.
daglish is trying to get back to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Martin seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
daglish could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Martin decides to stand up.
daglish throws a series of punches but Martin avoids them all with ease.

daglish pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

daglish misses with a straight left.
Martin throws a right hand that daglish ducks under and follows up with a left that daglish also avoids with ease.
Martin steps to the side to avoid the strikes from daglish.
daglish closes the distance looking to clinch

and Martin counters with a shoot takedown. daglish fights it but they end up in guard.
Martin wants to pass the guard but daglish is keeping the position.

Martin's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Martin stands and steps away. daglish gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Martin uses good head movement to avoid the hook from daglish.

and Martin counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for daglish!

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Martin is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. daglish can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.

and Martin counters with a shoot takedown. daglish fights it but they end up in guard.
Kean Martin has got the better of the ground game so far.
daglish wants to control the position but Martin says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Martin stops daglish from getting back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Martin decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
daglish misses with an attempted mid kick.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Martin shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

daglish in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.

Martin is landing with some decent strikes but daglish is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Martin tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Kean Martin showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

and Martin counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Martin slows the pace down in half guard.

Despite being in the dominant position, Kean Martin just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
daglish misses with a head kick.

Martin shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in daglish's guard.
daglish wants to stand up but Martin is controlling him.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Martin wants to pass the guard but daglish is keeping the position.
Martin seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Let's hope that Martin has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Martin gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Martin has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Martin tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
daglish blocks a head kick by Martin.
daglish has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from daglish there as he acknowledges the shot.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Martin.
The referee asks Martin politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Martin prefers to stall for the moment though.

Martin stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Martin moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Martin fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. daglish sprawls well initially but Martin persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Martin gets to his feet - back to striking we go!

Martin shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Martin was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
daglish tries to reverse the position but Martin maintains control.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
daglish wants to control but Martin is having none of it.

Kean Martin comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Martin has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
