Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alessandro Orsini (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexei Surov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Surov is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Amphetamines. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Daniel Blasius and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Orsini lands with a right hand.
It looks like Alexei Surov has been cut.
Surov tries to move into range but Orsini moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Surov blocks a jab.
Surov with the counter takedown but Orsini avoids it easily.
Surov throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Orsini lands with a nice body punch.
Orsini's corner calls for a 1-2. Orsini obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Orsini clobbers Surov with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
A swing and a miss from Orsini.
Orsini lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Orsini connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

Surov throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Surov jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Orsini lands a nice hook to Surov's body. Surov takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Orsini lands a jab to Surov's midsection.
Nice uppercut lands for Orsini. That snapped Surov's head back.
Surov manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Orsini on his heels. He'll look to pass Orsini's guard now, I'm sure.

Surov throws a strike but Orsini rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Surov has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Orsini slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Surov takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Surov is not content to let Orsini control the position.
Orsini is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Surov is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Surov parries the strikes from Orsini easily there. Orsini is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Surov to escape.

Orsini throws a strike aimed at the side of Surov's head but Surov avoids it well.
Orsini cracks Surov with a big right hand but Surov just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

The cut above Alexei Surov's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Orsini scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Surov to see if he's OK.

Alexei Surov's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Orsini with the ground and pound but Surov regains half guard under the barage of strikes.
Surov tries to roll over but Orsini keeps him under control.

Surov is refusing to be controlled, as Orsini sits in half guard.
Surov is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Orsini is looking to take a break and control but Surov is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Surov has hold of Orsini's hands but Orsini slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on Alexei Surov's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Surov swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Orsini counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Alessandro Orsini seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

A relieved looking Alessandro Orsini thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
