Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Clayton Channings (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sinbad Baba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Baba has chosen King of Seven Seas as his entrance music. Sinbad Baba has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Clayton Channings!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 28 - 18 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sinbad Baba!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Alan Glass and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baba looks to land a right hand but Channings moved out of range.
Baba throws a leg kick but Channings sees it coming and moves out of range.
Channings pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

Channings gets a double leg takedown into Baba's guard.
Channings definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Channings is looking to work some ground and pound but Baba has wrist control.
Channings trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Baba pushes Channings off and scrambles back to his feet.
Channings throws a body shot but no joy.
It seemed like Baba was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Channings looks for a takedown but Baba sprawls well.
Channings rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Baba moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Baba comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Baba misses with a left hand

and Channings counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Channings not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Channings controlling the pace.
Channings wants to control but Baba is keeping him busy.

Channings thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Channings grinds an elbow into Baba's temple.
The ground and pound from Channings seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Baba bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
Channings lands with a cross.
Baba avoids a punch combination nicely.
Baba takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Channings throws a right hand that misses
and Channings takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Baba tries to score with a low kick but Channings moves his leg out of the way.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Baba throws a right hand that Channings ducks under and follows up with a left that Channings also avoids with ease.

and Channings counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Baba!
Channings scoring with punches and elbows.
Baba pushes Channings away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Channings gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Channings works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Channings looks up at the clock and then as Baba takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Channings smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Baba throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!
Channings throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Baba pivots, looking for a leg kick but Channings is out of range and Baba settles back down.
Channings shoots in for a takedown but Baba shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Baba waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Channings.
Channings tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Baba paws at him with a jab and circles away.
A jab from Channings does it's job there.
A left and a right from Channings both land. Nice combination.
Channings fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Baba manages to avoid it.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Baba throws a nice inside leg kick.
Baba misses with a straight left.
Channings scores with a jab to the jaw.
A jab from Channings misses.
Baba now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Baba swats away the attempt to clinch by Channings.
As Channings backs off Baba throws a huge counter combo but Channings manages to avoid it all.
Channings drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Baba looks to throw the jab but Channings is out of range.
Baba takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Danga de danga de dang - Channings scores with a four punch combination!
Baba tries to clinch but Channings moves out of range.
Channings fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Clayton Channings dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


A combination from Baba does no damage.
Baba throws a body shot but no joy.
Baba throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Baba lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

and Channings counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Channings.
Baba preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Clayton Channings overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Channings trying to control the position from guard on top but Baba is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Channings lands a couple of digs.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Channings loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Baba is looking to stand up but Channings isn't so interested in that idea.
Channings throws a big right hand that misses.

Channings is looking to work some ground and pound but Baba has wrist control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Channings throws an elbow that misses. Baba uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Channings's guard. Nice move by Baba!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Channings is really struggling to control Baba but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Channings wants to sweep here but Baba controlling him for the moment.

Channings is looking for a triangle here but Baba uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Channings tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Baba presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Channings is trying to escape the mount.
Channings wants to hold on but Baba pushes him away.

Baba is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
Channings moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Channings throws an overhand right that lands on Baba's shoulder, as Baba tries to avoid the shot.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Channings.

Baba fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Channings has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Baba ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Channings throws a hook but Baba blocks it.
Baba fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Channings looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Baba avoids a kick to the body.
Channings shoots in for a takedown but Baba shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Baba throws out a counter right but Channings avoids it with no problem.
Baba ducks right into an uppercut from Channings.
Channings lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Baba bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
A jab from Channings finds it's way through Baba's defenses.
Baba fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Channings manages to avoid it.
Channings attempts a counter takedown but Baba avoids it well and moves away.
Channings is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

and Baba counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sinbad Baba showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Channings throws a hook to the side of Baba's head but Baba sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Channings misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

and Baba counters with a nice uppercut.
Baba leaves Channings with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Clayton Channings. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Baba thumps Channings with a low kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Baba counters with a crisp one two that drops Channings! Baba thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Channings to his feet! Channings is in big trouble!

Baba cracks Channings with a hook to the temple - Channings is on wobbly legs here! Baba swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Channings falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Baba wins by TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Sinbad Baba!
Sinbad Baba seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
