Ku Lee cracks Mendes with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Jose Mendes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mendes walks straight into a right hand from Ku Lee - that's dropped him! Ku Lee jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Mendes from any more punishment! Mendes complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Jung Ku Lee! Jung Ku Lee retains his middleweight title!
Jung Ku Lee was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
