The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wehmer throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. McLovin was covering up waiting for the punch and Wehmer finishes the takedown easily into guard.
McLovin looking for a sweep. Not yet McLovin, not yet.
Wehmer distracts McLovin with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Wehmer cracks McLovin with a solid left hand.
Wehmer is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Wehmer trying to control but McLovin is working from the bottom.
Wehmer landing some decent shots from guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wehmer postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wehmer wants to pass the guard but McLovin is keeping the position.

Wehmer is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Wehmer postures up and lands a big shot to McLovin's brow.

Wehmer is working McLovin over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
McLovin has momentary wrist control but Wehmer slips an elbow through the middle.

Oh McLovin is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
McLovin is breathing heavily.
Wehmer in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Wehmer cracks McLovin with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Wehmer immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! McLovin is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Wehmer!
