Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Itagaki Fukuzawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Taiki Aoki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fukuzawa's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, In Flames - Colony. Taiki Aoki acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

23 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Taiki Aoki!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fukuzawa throws a head kick but Aoki moves out of range.
And Aoki tries to counter it with a takedown but Fukuzawa pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Aoki takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Fukuzawa fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Aoki walks into a stiff left hand from Fukuzawa.
Fukuzawa throws out a leg kick but Aoki moves out of range and Fukuzawa only half commits.
Aoki drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Fukuzawa defends it well.
Fukuzawa misses with a looping right.
Aoki showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Fukuzawa.
Fukuzawa uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Aoki.

Aoki dives in for a single leg takedown but Fukuzawa sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

My spies in Mega Gym - Capacity 35 inform me that Aoki has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
Fukuzawa utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Aoki is looking to work some ground and pound but Fukuzawa has wrist control.

Aoki postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Fukuzawa is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Aoki, into his guard.

Fukuzawa wants to control from the top but Aoki keeps moving.
Aoki has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Aoki won't allow Fukuzawa to pass to mount.
Aoki slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Fukuzawa wants to control from the top but Aoki keeps moving.
Fukuzawa distracts Aoki with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Fukuzawa postures up and lands a big shot to Aoki's brow.
Fukuzawa got a little sloppy there for a moment and Aoki has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Fukuzawa has managed to get both his arms back between Aoki's legs - danger averted.
Aoki is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Aoki has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Fukuzawa is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Aoki.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Itagaki Fukuzawa dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Fukuzawa fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Aoki is out of range.
And Aoki tries to counter it with a takedown but Fukuzawa pushes his down on his head and steps out.
A solid leg kick lands there for Fukuzawa.

Aoki is looking for a triangle but Fukuzawa pushes his legs off easily.

Fukuzawa seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

A relieved looking Taiki Aoki thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
