Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Steven Howard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Dantas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jose Dantas is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jose Dantas!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Luis Engracia and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Howard clinches up with Dantas and pushes him back against the cage.
Dantas tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Dantas fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Dantas tries to pull guard but Howard forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Steven Howard has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jose Dantas.
Howard's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Dantas lands with a right hand.
Howard takes one on the button.
Howard shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Dantas manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Howard is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Howard advances position into side control!
Howard tries to advance to mount but Dantas denies him.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Dantas is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Dantas is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Howard scores with a couple of nice shots.
Howard is pressing down on Dantas's thigh, looking to free his foot. Dantas is holding on for now.
Howard is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Dantas is just riding it out for now. Howard eventually gives up the hold.
Howard stops Dantas from getting back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Howard keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Howard thows a huge punch but Dantas dodges it nicely.
Dantas is looking to escape.
Howard is taking a breather. Dantas says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Howard stands up out of the half guard.
Howard is breathing heavily.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Dantas has had enough of the clinch but Howard keeps him there for the moment.
A bit of stalling here from Howard.
Howard has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Dantas is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Dantas fails to pull guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
A frustrated look appears on Dantas's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Dantas wants to get back to striking at distance but Howard won't allow it.
Howard gets a trip takedown into half guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Dantas is trying to stand back up but Howard is controlling him
Howard looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Dantas has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Howard. Oh but Dantas has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Howard goes limp - he's gone! Dantas jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
