Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cornell feints and as Winters raises his hands in defense, Cornell changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cornell with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Winters not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Cornell trying to control the position from guard on top but Winters is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Cornell wants to control but Winters is keeping him busy.

Cornell is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Winters is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Winters cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

That was a close round but I would say that Francisco Winters will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Cornell wants to get back to his feet but Winters is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Winters is controlling the pace.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Winters keeps the fight on the outside.
It looked like Winters was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Cornell drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Winters tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Cornell blocks the strikes from Winters.
Winters tries to bench press Cornell off him but Cornell keeps the position.
Winters manages to get back to half guard.
Winters tries to get to full guard but Cornell has control of the leg.

Winters is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Winters landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Winters looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Winters moves into full mount! Cornell won't be happy about that!
Cornell is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Cornell is in a horrible position here. Winters smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Winters misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Cornell just misses with a punch to the body.
Winters swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

Cornell fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Winters to the ground. Cornell is now in Winters's guard.
Winters bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Cornell's guard.

Cornell has momentary wrist control but Winters slips an elbow through the middle.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Winters accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Winters is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Cornell wants to stand and escape but Winters is having none of it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Winters gets to his feet - Cornell follows without any prompting.

Winters looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Cornell!
Winters is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Cornell will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Cornell can't do much from the bottom here.
Cornell is letting Winters control him for a moment.
Winters creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

Winters remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Winters works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Cornell on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Winters is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Cornell can do to turn this around?
Winters is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Cornell will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
