The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Alan Glass and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Xhaka drives through and clinches with Newsto against the cage.
A nice left hand lands by Xhaka.
Newsto blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Newsto wants a takedown but no success here.
Newsto blocks an uppercut.

Xhaka lands with a short shot to the head.
Newsto jumps guard but Xhaka turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Xhaka swings wildly with an uppercut but Newsto uses good head movement to avoid it.

Xhaka throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Newstos head.

Newsto seems to have recovered his senses.
Xhaka lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Newsto is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Newsto blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Newsto's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Xhaka creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Newsto with a big uppercut! Newsto tries to clinch up but Xhaka pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Newsto to the mat! Newsto covers up and Xhaka unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Granat Xhaka!
