These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Trezeguet throws a head kick but McHale moves out of range.
A nice side step and McHale releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

Trezeguet has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but McHale is on him like a limpet, forcing Trezeguet back against the cage.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by David Trezeguet.
McHale feints a jab promting Trezeguet to slip. McHale then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Trezeguet slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as McHale checks a leg kick.
Despite the aggression on McHale's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
McHale moves out of range of the leg kick from Trezeguet.
Trezeguet tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and McHale is able to avoid easily.
Trezeguet wants to clinch.
McHale follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.

Trezeguet misses with an attempted mid kick.

McHale shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Trezeguet manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Trezeguet takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

McHale scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Trezeguet tries to score a power double leg takedown but McHale sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Trezeguet somewhat.
McHale avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Trezeguet wants to clinch but McHale slips to the side
and McHale counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Trezeguet throws a sloppy head kick and McHale moves out of range easily.
As Trezeguet backs off McHale throws a huge counter combo but Trezeguet manages to avoid it all.

and McHale counters with a two punch combo.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Beaumont McHale will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Trezeguet looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw McHale working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.
McHale lands a big elbow - Trezeguet is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for McHale!
