The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Daniel Cesar and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lucifer shoots in for a takedown but Slater shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Slater lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
It looks like Brad Lucifer has been cut.

Slater has closed the distance and engaged Lucifer in a clinch.
Lucifer jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Slater walks away with a smile on his face. Lucifer gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Kyle Slater has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brad Lucifer.
Slater has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Lucifer uses from the top position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lucifer drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Lucifer jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Lucifer should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Slater drops Lucifer onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Lucifer is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!

Lucifer's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Lucifer is still on wobbly legs! Can Slater finish him?
Slater throws a punch but it's blocked by Lucifer.
Slater pushes Lucifer against the cage. Slater is working some dirty boxing. Slater pushes off with a quick right hook! Lucifer goes down! Lucifer tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Slater moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kyle Slater!
