Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michael Brophy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anthony Castillo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brophy comes to the cage accompanied by Boulevard of Broken Dreams. Castillo comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Holy Key kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Castillo looks to land a left hand but Brophy moved out of range nicely.
Brophy looks for the body kick but Castillo saw that one coming.
Brophy stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
A jab from Castillo misses.
Brophy throws a quick counter kick to the body but Castillo avoids it.

Brophy feinted there with a counter leg kick.
Brophy looks to land a combination but Castillo avoids it well.
Brophy lands with a straight right. Castillo didn't see that one coming.

and Brophy counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Brophy drops his hands momentarily and Castillo takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

It looks like Michael Brophy has been cut.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Brophy, as that shot connected.
Brophy tries to work over Castillo's front leg with a kick but Castillo checks it.
Castillo unleashes a big counter combination but Brophy bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Brophy bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Castillo stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Brophy.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Castillo looks to throw the jab but Brophy is out of range.

Brophy takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Castillo misses with a double jab.
Castillo might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Castillo clinches up against the cage.
Brophy digs a right hand into Castillo's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Castillo's gas tank.

Castillo lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
I was talking to Brophy's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Brophy's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Castillo misses with a hook.
Brophy throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Castillo stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Brophy.

Castillo throws a lazy right hand but Brophy sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Anthony Castillo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Brophy fires a straight punch through the middle that cracks Castillo square on the jaw! Damn, Castillo is out cold on his feet and topples face first to the canvas! Wow, I haven't seen a knockout that brutal in a long time!
