The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martinez bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Thompson's head backwards.
We've been told by Martinez's head coaches at Roosters Coop that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Martinez throws a counter high kick but Thompson was just alert enough to avoid it.
