Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between AIDEN TAYLOR (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damon Hektor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

TAYLOR fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Hektor sprawls well initially but TAYLOR persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
TAYLOR trying to control the action but Hektor is working from the bottom.

TAYLOR is working for a kimura but Hektor is defending it quite comfortably.

TAYLOR is looking for a kimura but Hektor is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for TAYLOR to get the leverage.
The fighters are battling for position here. Hektor manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

TAYLOR drops back, looking for a kneebar! Hektor looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Hektor looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Hektor!

TAYLOR is trying to control Hektor's posture but Hektor avoids it.

Hektor looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Hektor has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Hektor blocks TAYLOR's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.

Hektor moves to back control.

Hektor is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Hektor is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. TAYLOR has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Hektor has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! TAYLOR taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Hektor doesn't care though - he's delighted!
