Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marquan Weatherspoon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pebbles OfCocoa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Marquan Weatherspoon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pebbles OfCocoa!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
OfCocoa jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Weatherspoon shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as OfCocoa sprawls well. OfCocoa wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Weatherspoon gets slowly back to his feet.
OfCocoa keeps the fight on the outside.

Weatherspoon closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Weatherspoon throws an elbow but OfCocoa slips to the side and avoids it well.
OfCocoa tries to bench press Weatherspoon off him but Weatherspoon keeps the position.

Weatherspoon wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by OfCocoa, who protects the arm well.
Weatherspoon wants to lay and pray for a moment but OfCocoa keeps working.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
OfCocoa can't do much from the bottom here.

OfCocoa is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Weatherspoon is staying active.
OfCocoa is looking for a sweep.

Weatherspoon swings around for an armbar but OfCocoa sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Weatherspoon's guard.

OfCocoa working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
OfCocoa is looking to work some ground and pound but Weatherspoon has wrist control.
Weatherspoon looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Weatherspoon wants to control but OfCocoa is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Weatherspoon is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
OfCocoa with the ground and pound but Weatherspoon uses the opportunity to regain guard.

Weatherspoon looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
OfCocoa must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

OfCocoa got a little sloppy there for a moment and Weatherspoon has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, OfCocoa has managed to get both his arms back between Weatherspoon's legs - danger averted.
OfCocoa is stalling in the full guard.
OfCocoa throwing strikes from guard but Weatherspoon blocks nicely.
Weatherspoon trying to control the position.
OfCocoa wants to control from the top but Weatherspoon keeps moving.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
OfCocoa sitting in guard here, content to control.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Weatherspoon fails with a takedown attempt.
A shot to the liver by OfCocoa. Beautiful body shot.
Jab, jab by OfCocoa - just one landing.
Weatherspoon digs a good body shot into OfCocoa's ribs.
Nice takedown defense from OfCocoa. No joy for Weatherspoon on that attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marquan Weatherspoon. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
OfCocoa scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
OfCocoa looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Weatherspoon is looking for a counter combo.
OfCocoa throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Weatherspoon shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with OfCocoa but OfCocoa pushes him off and we're back to square one.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Pebbles OfCocoa dominated that round.
That's time! Weatherspoon's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Weatherspoon looks for the body kick but OfCocoa saw that one coming.
OfCocoa dips to his left and cracks Weatherspoon with an uppercut!
OfCocoa scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Weatherspoon doesn't seem bothered though.
Weatherspoon misses with a takedown
and OfCocoa counters with a right hand to the body.
OfCocoa cracks Weatherspoon with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
OfCocoa fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Weatherspoon on the side of the head.
OfCocoa lands with an uppercut that bounces Weatherspoon off the cage and back into range.


Weatherspoon is rocked!
Weatherspoon takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Oh Weatherspoon is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Weatherspoon tries to get into range but OfCocoa steps to the side and lands a beautiful hook that drops Weatherspoon! He's faceplanted into the mat, ass in the air... he's out cold! That's an image he won't want to show his grandkids when he gets older! OfCocoa scores the big KO victory!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:39 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Pebbles OfCocoa!
In defeat, Marquan Weatherspoon stepped up to the mic, saying 'A little setback is the setup for a major comeback!!'.
