Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mookie Magaba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nikolai Nation (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Magaba's entrance music is Three Days Grace - Animal I Have Become . A fine choice. Nikolai Nation struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 147.0lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Nikolai Nation was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed right hand from Nation misses the target.
Nation lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Magaba keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Nation.
Magaba ducks under a wild hook from Nation.
Nation lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Nation cracks Magaba with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Nation misses with a head kick.
Magaba ducks right into an uppercut from Nation.
Magaba lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Nation backs up against the cage.
Magaba tries to close the distance and clinch but Nation swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Nation has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Magaba throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Magaba will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Nation throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Nikolai Nation seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nation dodges the punch combination from Magaba.
Nation lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.

Nation throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Magaba on the side of the head.
Magaba steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Nation.
Magaba has a takedown stuffed.
Nation misses with a body punch
and Magaba counters with a single leg into guard. Nation didn't expect that.

Magaba is looking to work some ground and pound but Nation has wrist control.

Magaba is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Magaba bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Nation's guard.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Magaba postures up in Nation's guard and throws a big left but Nation blocks it.

Magaba loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Magaba tries to free his leg and advance position but Nation is retaining full guard.

Nation wants to sweep but no luck.
Magaba slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Magaba throws an elbow but Nation slips to the side and avoids it well.
Magaba throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Magaba is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Nation is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Magaba is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Nation knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Magaba tries for a kimura but Nation is defending well.
Magaba looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Nation is trying to get back to half guard.
Magaba has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Nation is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Magaba yanks on the arm and Nation is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Magaba.
