Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Noe Hooper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gennady Golovkin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Golovkin misses with a series of wild punches.
Hooper went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Hooper checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Golovkin lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Hooper wants to clinch.
Golovkin takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

It looks like Noe Hooper has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Golovkin throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Hooper pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Hooper feints a jab promting Golovkin to slip. Hooper then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Golovkin slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Golovkin throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Hooper tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Golovkin is in Hooper's guard.

Golovkin stands and steps away. Hooper gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Hooper fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Golovkin , pushing him back against the cage.
Hooper could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Hooper tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Golovkin just stands there and leans against the cage.
Hooper is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Golovkin is defending well.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Golovkin pushes Hooper back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Hooper fails to pull guard.

Golovkin postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Hooper covers up, he's hurt! Golovkin keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Golovkin and the ref steps in to end the fight! Golovkin can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
