Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Silas Floyd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anihilator Bruce (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silas Floyd has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Silas Floyd!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Anihilator Bruce!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Sosuke Kotani and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bruce darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Bruce performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Bruce wants to free his trapped foot but Floyd is holding on for dear life with his legs.
The fighters are battling for position here. Floyd manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Bruce is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Floyd manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Bruce manages to get himself to full guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bruce isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Floyd stacks Bruce on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Floyd!

Floyd decides to stand up, so the ref orders Bruce to his feet.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Floyd gets caught flat footed, as Bruce shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Floyd pulls Bruce in close to his closed guard and prevents Bruce from doing any damage or advancing position.
Floyd might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Floyd tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Floyd wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Bruce wants to pass the guard but Floyd is keeping the position.

Floyd is adopting a defensive guard.
Bruce slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
A head kick misses from Bruce.

Bruce shoots in and gets a takedown into Floyd's guard.
Bruce trying to control but Floyd is working from the bottom.
Floyd manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Bruce manages to get himself to full guard.


The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Bruce scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Floyd tries to clinch up but Bruce circles away and keeps his distance.
Bruce connects with a high kick.

Bruce closes the distance and clinches.

Floyd wants the takedown. Bruce is fighting it off but Floyd persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Bruce's guard against the cage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Bruce gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Floyd has gone for a leg lock! Bruce slips out almost immediately though and dives into Floyd's guard.

Bruce wants to get up but he can't break Floyd's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Floyd is trying to control the position but Bruce postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Floyd looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bruce is one step ahead there.
Floyd is pulling down on Bruce's head. It's preventing any offense from Bruce, at least for the moment.
Bruce with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Bruce stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Floyd swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Bruce throws a strike but Floyd rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Floyd could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Floyd is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Bruce looking for a sweep. Not yet Bruce, not yet.
Bruce has a closed guard, preventing Floyd from standing up.

Bruce is working an open guard so Floyd takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Floyd has Bruce pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Bruce manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Bruce tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Floyd's elbow.
Floyd tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Floyd is trying to pull guard but Bruce turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Bruce tries to work over Floyd's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Floyd has had enough of the clinch but Bruce keeps him there for the moment.
A frustrated look appears on Floyd's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Floyd is working for takedown but Bruce is calmly controlling the position for now.
Floyd has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Bruce after a bit of a struggle.

Bruce breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Bruce throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Floyd tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Bruce is in Floyd's guard.

Floyd is working an open guard so Bruce takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Bruce drives through with a takedown into guard.
Bruce postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Bruce pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Floyd is keeping the position for now.
Floyd wants to sweep here but Bruce controlling him for the moment.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Anihilator Bruce showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!


Bruce circles away from the clinch attempt
and Bruce counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Floyd takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Bruce closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Floyd to the mat! Floyd manages to get full guard.
Bruce wants to stand but Floyd has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Floyd looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bruce is one step ahead there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bruce must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Floyd is trying to keep Bruce in close.
Anihilator Bruce has got the better of the ground game so far.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Bruce shoots in and bounces Floyd off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Anihilator Bruce is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Bruce wants to control from the top but Floyd keeps moving.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Floyd manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Floyd jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Bruce walks away with a smile on his face. Floyd gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Bruce scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Bruce is taking a breather. Floyd says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Bruce is looking to take a break and control but Floyd is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Silas Floyd has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Well Bruce has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
