Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between BJ Penn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and King Edward (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). King Edward is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, BJ Penn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, King Edward!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Micheangelo Fripello and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Edward cracks a nice hook into Penn's ribs.
Edward digs a good hook to Penn's body.
Edward changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Edward shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Penn as he jumps to the side.
Penn lands with a thumping leg kick.
Edward fails with a takedown attempt.
Penn takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Edward avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Edward's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Edward duly obliges.
Edward fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
BJ Penn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of King Edward.
Edward throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Penn tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Edward paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Penn swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Edward counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Penn is rocked!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Edward looks for a left high kick but can't connect. Edward backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks Penn's temple! It sends Penn violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as Edward celebrates and the doctors try to help Penn!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:07 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Flying Knee). King Edward!
