Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Chris Conley!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, James Ackerman and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Conley throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
We've been told by Calypso's head coaches at Bonsai Club MMA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Conley throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Calypso.
Conley dives in and grabs Calypso's left leg, looking for a takedown. Calypso pushes down on Conley's head and hops out.

Calypso forces Conley back against the ropes and clinches.
Calypso digs a right hand underneath Conley's ribcage. Conley let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Calypso avoiding damage.
Calypso lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Conley tries to work over Calypso's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Conley tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Calypso's elbow.
Calypso lands a right hand.
Conley is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Calypso pulls him back up using the underhooks.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Conley misses with a punch on the inside.
Calypso scores with a hook to the body.
Calypso lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Calypso pushes Conley back against the ropes and unloads with a body punch.
Conley looks winded!
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Calypso.
With the fighters clinched against the ropes, Calypso creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Conley tries for a takedown. No joy.
Twist Calypso has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chris Conley.

Calypso dips a shoulder and cracks Conley with a mighty uppercut! Conley falls back against the ropes and Calypso unloads with a barrage of strikes! Conley is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the ropes! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Calypso screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Twist Calypso!
