Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Robbie Luatua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frankie Malone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Luatua comes to the cage accompanied by Puff Daddy feat Jimmy Page - Come with me. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Luatua throws a lazy uppercut
and Malone counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Malone lands a head kick. Luatua smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Malone looks to land a combination but Luatua avoids it well.
Luatua goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Frankie Malone seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Malone lands a big head kick that sends Luatua tumbling to the mat! Malone takes a step backwards and waves Luatua back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Luatua drops Malone with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Malone looks back up at him and smiles so Luatua waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Luatua avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Luatua tries to close the distance and clinch up but Malone swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Malone takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Malone chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Luatua can pounce on him.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

That kick from Malone tenderised Luatua's leg. Luatua is trying to keep his angry face on.

Luatua cracks Malone's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Malone slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Luatua can do further damage! This one is done, son!

After the fight, Robbie Luatua was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
