The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Sergei Dronov and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brooksi shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Brooksi seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Bonyal does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Brooksi uses his free foot to push down on Bonyal's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Bonyal.
Brooksi lands a big shot there that rocks Bonyal but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Brooksi has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Bonyal's face.
Bonyal is breathing heavily.
A big strike lands for Brooksi! That's really hurt Bonyal and he's turned his back - Brooksi keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Brooksi jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
