Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Stevie West (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thiago Souza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
West tries to work over Souza's front leg with a kick but Souza checks it.
Souza avoids a low kick by using good footwork.

and West counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Souza!

West working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. West connects with a nice short shot to Souza's temple.

Souza pushes a forearm under West's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, West is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
