The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hendrix gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Wayne looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Hendrix gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Hendrix not landing any meaningful shots this time.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Hendrix connects with a nice short shot to Wayne's temple.
Hendrix takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Hendrix lands a nice short elbow.

Wayne on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

Hendrix decides to stand and escape the position.

and Hendrix decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Wayne's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hendrix throws a big right hand that misses.
Hendrix is working Wayne over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Hendrix would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Hendrix has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Hendrix stands and steps away. Wayne gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Hendrix gets to his feet. Wayne looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Hendrix darts in and clinches Wayne up against the cage.

Hendrix escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Hendrix throws a right and a left that both miss.
Hendrix really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Wayne slips a jab and a cross from Hendrix.
Hendrix misses with a body kick.
Wayne avoids a punch combination nicely.
Wayne tries to counter with a clinch but Hendrix shakes him off and moves away.
Wayne has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.

A combination from Hendrix does no damage.

Hendrix jumps into guard, dragging Wayne to the mat.

Hendrix is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Wayne frees his head nicely. Oh but Hendrix has switched to an armbar! Wayne is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
