The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Winston Alpacca and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jimmies shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Abner pinned against the cage. Abner gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Abner moves into the clinch.
Jimmies has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Abner avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Abner is pressed up against the cage. Jimmies has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Abner down to the mat. Abner avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Edipo Abner has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dave Jimmies.
Abner cracks Jimmies with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Jimmies.
Abner gets a clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Abner gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Jimmies.

Jimmies is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Abner gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Abner lands a body punch.
Jimmies looks winded!
Abner lands a left hand that snaps the head of Jimmies backwards.
Jimmies drops down looking for an ankle pick but Abner pulls his leg out and moves away.
Abner drops Jimmies with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Jimmies! Abner dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
