Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Leonardo Leite (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Neil Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Leonardo Leite has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Leonardo Leite!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Neil Diaz!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Gwen Towbar and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leite on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Leite seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Diaz throws a leg kick which misses Leite's front leg but catches the back leg as Leite tries to avoid it.
Diaz leaves Leite with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Leite chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Diaz can pounce on him.
Leite takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Neil Diaz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Leite feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Leite is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Diaz has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Diaz is wriggling around here but as he tries to escape, Leite has taken his back.

Leite is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Diaz defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
What can Diaz do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
Leite is trying to stick to Diaz's back but Diaz is turning into Leite. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Leite's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Diaz.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Leite tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Diaz just stands there and leans against the cage.

Diaz lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Leite to his knees! Diaz keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!
