Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johnnie Curtis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hilo Falo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Johnnie Curtis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Hilo Falo!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Chris Edwards and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Falo throws a head kick but Curtis moves out of range.
Curtis appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Falo shoots for a takedown but Curtis saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Falo avoids a kick to the body.
Falo shoots and misses

and Curtis counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Falo wants to stand but Curtis is controlling the position.
Curtis landing with the ground and pound.
Falo is looking to stand up but Curtis isn't so interested in that idea.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Curtis decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Falo, up you get!
Curtis throws a sloppy head kick and Falo moves out of range easily.

Curtis takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Curtis looks for the body kick but Falo saw that one coming.
Falo changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Falo throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

and Curtis counters with a left and a right that stings Falo.
Curtis ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Falo tries for a takedown but Curtis sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Johnnie Curtis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hilo Falo.
Falo misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Falo pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Curtis drops down looking for a counter takedown but Falo sprawls and moves away.
A telegraphed right hand from Falo misses the target.
Curtis shoots for a double leg takedown but Falo sprawls well. He's pushed Curtis's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Falo tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Falo tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Curtis swivels and escapes.
Curtis attempts a counter takedown but Falo avoids it well and moves away.

Curtis clinches up with Falo and pushes him back against the cage.
Curtis could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Curtis tries to score a body lock takedown but Falo shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Curtis is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Falo pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Curtis jumps into guard, dragging Falo to the mat.
Falo wants to stand but Curtis is controlling his posture from full guard.
Falo is pushing down on Curtis's leg trying to pass to half guard. Curtis is fighting to maintain full guard but Falo has managed to sneak the leg through.

Falo decides to return to a standing position.
Falo misses with a lunging right hand

and Curtis counters with a takedown into side control.

Falo throws Curtis to one side and escapes!
Falo fails with a takedown attempt.
Curtis throws a body kick that misses.
Hilo Falo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Falo misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Curtis appears to be looking for a counter takedown.

Falo shoots for a takedown but Curtis saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Curtis wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

That was a close round but I would say that Johnnie Curtis will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

and Curtis counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Curtis.
Falo wants to stand but Curtis is controlling the position.

Falo has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Curtis is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
Curtis tries to pull guard but Falo won't allow it.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Curtis is looking to work some ground and pound but Falo has wrist control.

Falo pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Curtis drops down looking for a counter takedown but Falo sprawls and moves away.
Curtis blocks a low kick nicely.
Falo bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

and Curtis counters with a series of strikes. Falo will be more careful next time no doubt.
Curtis tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Falo paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Falo tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Curtis defends well and Falo ends up having to push Curtis into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Johnnie Curtis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hilo Falo.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That was a close second round but I would say that Johnnie Curtis will probably get the nod.

Falo throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Curtis's waist but Curtis gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Falo off to one side.

Falo throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Curtis jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Falo walks away with a smile on his face. Curtis gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Falo checks a leg kick.
And Falo tries to counter it with a takedown but Curtis pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Curtis moves in looking to clinch but Falo pushes him off.
Falo takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

A lazy body kick from Falo

and Curtis counters with a single leg into guard. Falo didn't expect that.
Curtis throws a strike but Falo rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Curtis wants to hit a switch here but Falo passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Curtis there!

Curtis regains half guard.

Falo takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Falo stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Curtis uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Falo.
Falo goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Curtis rushes Falo and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Falo is trying to force a seperation but Curtis has the dominant position.

Falo is looking to break free of the clinch but Curtis has double underhooks.
A frustrated look appears on Falo's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Falo prevents a body shot from Curtis.

Curtis pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Falo keeps the fight on the outside.
Curtis tries to clinch up but Falo circles away and keeps his distance.
Curtis wants to clinch up but Falo keeps it at a distance.
Curtis stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Curtis wants it to stay on the feet.
Hilo Falo has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

It looks like Hilo Falo has been cut.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Curtis.

And that's the end of the fight!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Curtis, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
