Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Renaldo Pollard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mike Tyson!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Franklyn Lucas and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tyson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Pollard appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Pollard changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Tyson tries to avoid it but Pollard manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Tyson to the ground. Tyson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Tyson throws a series of punches but Pollard avoids them all with ease.
Tyson closes the distance and clinches.
Tyson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Tyson moves into the clinch successfully.
Pollard manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Pollard tries to score a body lock takedown but Tyson shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tyson drops down looking for an ankle pick but Pollard pulls his leg out and moves away.
Tyson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Pollard uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Tyson.
Pollard is looking to counter the offense by Tyson and move into the clinch.
Nice body punch from Tyson.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Tyson sizes up Pollard with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
It looks like Renaldo Pollard has been cut.
Tyson clinches up with Pollard and pushes him back against the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Tyson's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Tyson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Tyson looks to land a combination. Pollard sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Tyson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Pollard was well out of range. Poor timing from Tyson.
Both fighters circling slowly here as the pace drops. Hopefully one of them does someth.. OOOHHHH!!!! Tyson throws an absolute beast of a head kick! Pollard is done! He's out cold, twisted and contorted up against the cage! Wow!
