The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Joshua misses with a jab, cross combination.

Joshua fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Gardner, pushing him back against the cage.
Joshua wants to break the clinch but can't.
Gardner doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Joshua wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gardner gets through Joshua's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

and Joshua takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Gardner tries to counter by clinching up but Joshua breaks away and moves out of range.
Joshua tries to get into range but Gardner steps to the side and lands a beautiful hook that drops Joshua! He's faceplanted into the mat, ass in the air... he's out cold! That's an image he won't want to show his grandkids when he gets older! Gardner scores the big KO victory!
