Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hatfield McCoy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Glen Taylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McCoy comes to the cage accompanied by Dueling Banjos. Hatfield McCoy has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCoy takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Taylor throws a series of strikes that have McCoy backpedaling.

It looks like Hatfield McCoy has been cut.
Taylor's jab looks to have found its range, popping McCoy under the eye.
McCoy throws an overhand right that lands on Taylor's shoulder, as Taylor tries to avoid the shot.
McCoy steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Taylor.

Both fighters circling a little - McCoy finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

Taylor takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
McCoy's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Taylor connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! McCoy scrambles back to his feet.

Taylor fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with McCoy, pushing him back against the cage.
Taylor tries to work over McCoy's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

A nice right hand lands inside from Taylor.
Knees in the clinch landing for McCoy.
McCoy is pressed up against the cage. Taylor has hold of a leg and is looking to drag McCoy down to the mat. McCoy avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Taylor has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Taylor tries to clinch up but McCoy circles away and keeps his distance.
McCoy thuds his shin into the meat of Taylor's side.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from McCoy.
A telegraphed right hand from Taylor misses the target.
It looked like McCoy was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Taylor.
McCoy connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Taylor momentarily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Taylor misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from McCoy.
Hatfield McCoy is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Taylor rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and McCoy counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Taylor wants to clinch up but McCoy keeps it at a distance.
McCoy darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

Taylor clinches up with McCoy and pushes him back against the cage.
McCoy is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Taylor is defending well for now.
Taylor is trying to stall.
McCoy tries to land a knee to the head but Taylor blocks with his arms.

McCoy breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
The fight stays on the outside here - Taylor looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Taylor misses with a hook. McCoy ducked under it nicely.
Glen Taylor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and McCoy counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Taylor takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Taylor swings for the body but McCoy moves out of range.
McCoy tests Taylor's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Taylor is rocked!
McCoy scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Taylor is still on wobbly legs! Can McCoy finish him?

and McCoy counters with a big right hand! Oh Taylor is in trouble here! McCoy follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!
