Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Arlie Sampson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pika Boo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Arlie Sampson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pika Boo!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, George Francis and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boo doesn't manage to clinch there - Sampson circles away.
Sampson appears to be looking for a big counter.
Sampson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Boo shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Sampson napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Sampson explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!

Boo is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Sampson's half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sampson keeps control of the position for the meantime.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sampson makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Sampson.
Sampson wants to stand up but Boo is controlling him.

Sampson looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Sampson has control of Boo's left arm, preventing Boo from doing any damage.
Boo wants to stand and escape but instead Sampson has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Sampson stops Boo from standing up.

Sampson is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Sampson stays in close to Boo's body and controls the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Sampson tries to stand but Boo is controlling from the bottom.

Sampson stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Sampson fails with the takedown
and Boo counters with a straight right hand.
Boo fails in his attempt to clinch.
Boo rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Sampson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Boo shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Boo showed some decent athleticism there.
Boo seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Sampson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Boo prevents Sampson from improving his position.
The fighters are battling for position here. Sampson manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Sampson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Boo not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Sampson wants to stand and escape but Boo is having none of it.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Boo connects with a right hand. Sampson shakes it off.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Sampson closes the distance and clinches up with Boo, looking for a takedown. Sampson pushes Boo against the cage but Boo circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Boo drives through and clinches with Sampson against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Arlie Sampson will probably get the nod.
That's time! Sampson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Boo decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Sampson is trying to stand.
Sampson is trying to maintain the position but Boo is very close to passing his half guard.
Boo content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Boo looks to land a strike but Sampson avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sampson has control of Boo's left arm, preventing Boo from doing any damage.

Boo trying to control but Sampson is working from the bottom.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Boo prevents Sampson from getting back to his feet.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Pika Boo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Boo throws a nice looking combination but Sampson bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Sampson shoots in looking for a takedown. Boo tries to sprawl out of it but Sampson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Boo manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Boo looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Sampson has taken the fight to the clinch.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Boo has hold of one of Sampson's legs. Sampson is fighting the takedown attempt but Boo gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Boo won't allow Sampson to sweep him here.
Sampson avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Sampson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Boo's guard.

Boo shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Sampson is doing well to control the position and prevent Boo from advancing to side control.
Boo tries to pass the half guard into mount. Sampson knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sampson is trying to control but can't.
Sampson slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Sampson looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Boo postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Sampson keeping moving, preventing Boo from controlling successfully.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Sampson is on top in guard.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Arlie Sampson will probably get the nod.

Boo fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Nice sprawl there from Boo as Sampson shoots in.
Boo wants to clinch.
Boo swings away with a leg kick that misses.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Sampson enables Boo to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Sampson manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Sampson is pulling down on Boo's head. It's preventing any offense from Boo, at least for the moment.

Boo wants to stand and escape but instead Sampson has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Boo takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Sampson landing with the ground and pound.
Boo has a closed guard, preventing Sampson from standing up.
Boo seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Sampson moves into the clinch.

Sampson successfully pulls guard.
Sampson has Boo pulled in close to control his posture.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Sampson is trying to keep Boo in close.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Arlie Sampson.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Sampson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
