Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Shaun Swagger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gee Sus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Swagger comes to the cage accompanied by Amazing. Gee Sus has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Shaun Swagger's chin.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Gee Sus!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Sam Margolis and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sus clinches up with Swagger and pushes him back against the cage.
Nice body punch from Swagger.
Sus tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Swagger tries to stall but Sus uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Sus working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Swagger takes a shot to the head.

Swagger breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Swagger throws a one two combo.
Swagger drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Sus swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Swagger counters with a body kick.
Sus misses with a combination
and Swagger counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Sus misses with the combination.
Swagger lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Sus backs up against the cage.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Swagger.
Sus throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Sus looks gassed!

Swagger drives through and clinches with Sus against the cage.
Sus goes for a takedown in the clinch but Swagger prevents it.
A nice left hand lands by Sus.

Swagger pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Swagger doesn't manage to clinch there - Sus circles away.
Sus misses with a double jab
and Swagger counters with a head kick. That will keep Sus thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Swagger closes the distance and clinches.

Swagger breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Swagger lands a nice looking kick to the body. Sus takes a step back to recover.

Swagger tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Sus paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Swagger avoids a punch combination nicely.

Swagger changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Sus looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Swagger tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Sus parries the strikes from Swagger easily there. Swagger is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Sus to escape.

Sus is not content to let Swagger control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Swagger is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Sus is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Gee Sus is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Swagger fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Sus throws a combination. Swagger tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

and Swagger counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Swagger has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Sus throws a series of punches but Swagger moves out of range.

Sus fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Swagger, pushing him back against the cage.

Sus has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Swagger uses from the top position.
Sus is pulling down on Swagger's head. It's preventing any offense from Swagger, at least for the moment.
Swagger won't allow Sus to get back to his feet.

Sus manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Swagger manages to get himself to full guard.

Sus lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Sus throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Swagger clinches.
Sus lands a shoulder strike.
Sus is looking to break free of the clinch but Swagger has double underhooks.
Sus scores with a shoulder strike.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Sus prevents Swagger from breaking the clinch.
Swagger prevents a takedown attempt there.
Shaun Swagger has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gee Sus.

Gee Sus showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

so Swagger counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Sus wants to stand and escape but Swagger is having none of it.
Swagger seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Shaun Swagger.
I think Swagger has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
