The judges for this bout are William Gold, James Glass and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mcguire misses with a hook
and Malone counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Mcguire is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Mcguire keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Mcguire cracks Malone with a good jab.
A big right from Mcguire misses.
Mcguire misses with an uppercut.
Mcguire leaves Malone with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Malone looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Mcguire is fending him off so far but Malone persists. Nope, Mcguire circles away and we're back to standing.
Malone tries to score a power double leg takedown but Mcguire sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Malone somewhat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Willis Malone. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Mcguire tries to clinch up but Malone circles away and keeps his distance.

Malone bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Mcguire tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Malone paws at him with a jab and circles away.
The fighters circling - Mcguire throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Malone ducks under a wild hook from Mcguire.
Mcguire drives through and clinches with Malone against the cage.

Malone jumps guard but Mcguire turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Mcguire wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Malone has him pressed against the cage.
Malone pulls guard successfully.
Mcguire stands and steps away. Malone gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Mcguire wants to clinch.
Mcguire connects with a looping right hand.
Malone moves forwards but Mcguire connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Malone takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Mcguire lands a jab to the head.
Malone ducks under a wild hook from Mcguire.
It looked like Malone was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Mcguire.
Mcguire lands a lovely overhand right.
Malone is rocked!
Malone tries for a takedown but Mcguire circles away easily
and Mcguire scores with a counter punch that sends Malone to the canvas! Mcguire smells blood - he's punishing Malone with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Malone has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Toby Mcguire!
Toby Mcguire decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
