Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alex Rock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dillon Weber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alex Rock!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dillon Weber!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Robert Twigg and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Weber tries to close the distance and clinch up but Rock swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Weber looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Rock gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Weber counters with a series of strikes. Rock will be more careful next time no doubt.
Nice sprawl there from Weber as Rock shoots in.
Weber blocks a head kick by Rock.

Rock clinches.

Rock breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Rock dives in and grabs Weber's left leg, looking for a takedown. Weber pushes down on Rock's head and hops out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alex Rock. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Weber tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Rock clinches up against the cage.

Rock breaks the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rock fails to land the takedown.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Rock crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Weber - the referee stops the clock and Rock gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Weber. Rock manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Weber tries to keep at a distance but Rock has taken the fight into the clinch.
Weber wants to break free but Rock has control.
Weber tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Rock just stands there and leans against the cage.
Weber jumps guard but Rock turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Weber wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Weber takes a knee right on the jaw!

Rock escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Danga de danga de dang - Weber scores with a four punch combination!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
No luck for Rock with that takedown attempt.
Rock fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Rock shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Rock showed some decent athleticism there.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Weber tries to kick Rock off in order to stand up. Rock Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Weber is pushing Rock's head away, looking to escape. Rock manages to hold on to the position though.
Rock throws an elbow but Weber slips to the side and avoids it well.
Rock happy to just control the position for now.
Rock working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Weber is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Rock staying calm.
Weber wants to get back to his feet but Rock drags him back down.

Rock wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Weber, who protects the arm well.
Rock knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Weber on the ground.
Weber pushes Rock away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Rock gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Rock really is a fat lump.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Rock is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Weber wants to get back to his feet but Rock drags him back down.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Weber looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Rock shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Weber unleashes a big counter combination but Rock bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Rock scores with a head kick.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Weber on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Rock is looking to take this one to the mat.
Weber stalling in the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Alex Rock dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Rock lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Rock changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Weber tries to avoid it but Rock manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Weber to the ground. Weber escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Rock gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Weber wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Rock is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Weber is defending well for now.

Weber is fighting off a takedown attempt but Rock is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Weber to the mat. Weber regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rock is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Rock shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Weber sprawls well. Weber wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Rock gets slowly back to his feet.

Rock swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Alex Rock is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Rock looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Weber!
Weber is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Rock asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Rock's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Weber is pushing Rock's head away, looking to escape. Rock manages to hold on to the position though.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!



Rock moves into range and clinches up with Weber.
Weber is trying to break the clinch but Rock is controlling him.
Weber gets underhooks to prevent Rock's takedown attempt.

Rock escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Weber tries to close the distance and clinch but Rock swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Weber throws a leg kick but Rock moved away.
Rock shoots in looking for a takedown but Weber manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Rock's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Rock counters with a left and a right that stings Weber.
Rock looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Weber tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Rock manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Weber pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Rock is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Weber breaks the clinch.
Weber tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Rock paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Rock throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Weber's waist but Weber gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Rock off to one side.

Rock shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Weber pinned against the cage. Weber gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Weber lands a nice shot to the body.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Rock.
As Rock backs off Weber throws a huge counter combo but Rock manages to avoid it all.
Weber comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Dillon Weber has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Rock shoots for a double leg takedown but Weber sprawls well. He's pushed Rock's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Weber scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Rock doesn't seem bothered though.
Alex Rock is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Rock shoots in for a double leg but Weber sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Dillon Weber comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Rock has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
