The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones shoots in for a double leg but Soze sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
No joy there for Soze, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Soze lands a jab to Jones's midsection.

and Jones counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Soze tries to close the distance and clinch but Jones swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Soze shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jones as he avoids it easily.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Krunch Bot Jones showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
