Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nathan Oliver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bill McBrody (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McBrody has chosen Get Back as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slow jab from Oliver misses its intended target.
Oliver moves in looking to clinch but McBrody pushes him off.
McBrody keeps the fight on the outside.
Oliver tries to close the distance and clinch up but McBrody swats him away and circles back towards the center.
McBrody ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
No joy there for McBrody, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

McBrody might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

McBrody comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

McBrody throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Oliver stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

McBrody bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Oliver's head.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Oliver. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Oliver looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

McBrody has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Oliver falls off balance throwing a combination
and McBrody counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
McBrody throws a shot from downtown. Oliver moves away and avoids it.

Oliver stalks McBrody and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into McBrody's face. McBrody staggers backwards, shaken.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

McBrody tries to pass the half guard into mount. Oliver knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
McBrody looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Oliver wants to control but McBrody is keeping busy.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

McBrody takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
McBrody wants to free his trapped foot but Oliver is holding on for dear life with his legs.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bill McBrody showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

McBrody lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
