Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ricky Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Green Aki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Davis comes into the arena with High by Jimmie's Chicken Shack blaring out of the sound system. Green Aki looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aki misses with a double jab.
Aki digs a good body shot into Davis's ribs.
Davis misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Aki.

Davis clinches up with Aki and pushes him back against the cage.
Aki tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Davis gets a trip takedown into half guard.

Davis is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Aki is just riding it out for now. Davis eventually gives up the hold.

Davis is looking to take a break and control but Aki is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Davis lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Aki is desperately trying to improve his position but Davis has a good base and remains in mount.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Davis lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

Davis throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Aki has his hands clasped together but Davis breaks the hold and Aki is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Davis!
