The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Selie tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Laponov paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Selie fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Laponov sprawls well initially but Selie persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Laponov looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Laponov is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Selie is tapping! Great win for Laponov!
