The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Heracles jabbing away but nothing is landing.
A left and a right from Jones both land. Nice combination.

It looks like Zeus Heracles has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Jones drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Heracles striking off his back but it's not causing Jones any problems.
Heracles throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Jones trying to control but Heracles is working from the bottom.

Jones is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Jones controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Heracles keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Heracles misses with a telegraphed body shot

and Jones counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Jones.

Heracles looking for a guillotine here but Jones defends easily.
Jones wants to control from the top but Heracles keeps moving.
Heracles is trying to keep Jones in close.
Jones trying to control but Heracles is working from the bottom.

Heracles working for a triangle but Jones defends it easily.
Jones is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Jones throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Heracles works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Jones fails with the takedown.
Conan Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Jones.

Heracles takes a swing at Jones's ribcage but misses.

Jones lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Jones shoots in and drives through. Heracles sprawls well.
Jones lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Jones looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Heracles lands a big uppercut and Jones crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Jones looks OK. Heracles waves Jones back to his feet!

It looks like Conan Jones has been cut.
Jones is breathing heavily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Jones slips under a jab from Heracles.
Heracles ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Heracles throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Jones sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Jones misses with a double jab.
Heracles fails in his attempt to clinch.
Jones takes one to the chin there.

Jones is rocked!
Jones throws a right and a left that Heracles avoids nicely.

Jones circles to his right, straight into a beautiful hook by Heracles. Jones falls face first into the canvas - great knockout victory for Heracles!
